Home.... early morning Saturday 7th March

Arrived back home late last night. Now the sorting out starts. I reckon that there are nearly 2000 photos to edit and hope to create a few extra pages in Photos of more specific events and places.

I also need to thank so many people that I have met and/or had help and support from over the last 8 weeks. They really made the trip so memorable. Many have already been mentioned at times but perhaps too casually and a special Thanks needs to be created.

Otherwise, back to daffodils starting to bloom, cooler and damper, but England in the spring ain't bad is it. Home, grandchildren, friends and golf. I'll soon get back into the swing but also hang onto a great bundle of memories of a wonderful trip to the Antipodes.

Glad to have you back on UK soil, even though a part of your head will be in Nz/Oz for a long time (possibly the bits that fell out when you bungeed!) - looking forward to catching up with you. Have a great weekend and talk to you soon,

Hi Bert. Glad to hear you are back safe and sound. You've been away from home for a long long time. Autumn is starting to set in here although we have had a few very hot days lately. It was a bad start to your NZ adventure with the broken car window etc but I'm just glad that you have happy memories of the rest of your trip. Keep in touch but no doubt I'll be hearing what you are up to from Amanda. Hope you're not too cold now! (but maybe it will make you keep your clothes on!!) Caro :-)
